Curriculum & Qualifications

To achieve a world-class standard in education, young people need to be offered meaningful qualifications that are rigorously and reliably assessed. As part of efforts to drive up standards,  in recent years, there has been significant reform to the curriculum and qualifications – including a new national curriculum more closely aligned with the world’s highest performing school systems, and a reformed GCSE grading system, designed to be more challenging. It is important to evaluate the impact of these major changes, and assess whether the government has been successful in realising its objectives.
