Making education recovery accessible to all

14th July 2022 14/07/2022 15:00-17:00

On 14th July 2022, the Education Policy Institute hosted a public webinar examining how we can ensure education recovery is accessible to all children and young people. This event was held in partnership with the Publishers’ Association.

Building on a series of private roundtables, the webinar explored how we can ensure that the post-pandemic education recovery supports all students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. It focused on two of the crucial issues facing the recovery – system-level disparities and school-level inclusion.

We were delighted to welcome Dame Rachel de Souza to deliver the keynote. This was accompanied by two panels; the first examined how to sustainably and equitably embed education recovery programmes across the school system and the second focused on the role of edtech within education recovery and beyond. We heard from Graham Archer, Department for Education, Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith, One Life Learning, Dan Conway, Publishers Association, Vivek Govil, Oxford University Press, Rory McGrath, Shacklewell Primary School and Nicola Shipman, Steel City Schools Partnership.
