Maxime joined EPI in November 2025 and is nearing completion of a PhD in Advanced Quantitative Methods at the University of Bristol, with research focusing on how month-of-birth affects early educational attainment and socio-emotional development. Maxime holds two research-focused master’s degrees: an MRes in Advanced Quantitative Methods from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Social Science Research Methods from Cardiff University.
Prior to joining EPI, Maxime has worked as a Graduate Teacher at the University of Bristol and as a Research Assistant at both the University of Bristol and the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) focusing on socioeconomic disparities in education and students’ use of AI in higher education.
Before their academic career, Maxime was an Early Years practitioner for many years and holds a BA in Education Studies.
