Dr Mona Sakr is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at Middlesex University in London. Her research focuses on policy, pedagogy and leadership in early childhood education, with a particular focus on baby room provision for 0-2 year olds. Mona’s books include Social Leadership in Early Childhood Education and Care (co-written with June O’Sullivan; Bloomsbury), Digital Play in Early Childhood: What’s the Problem? (Sage), Creativity and Making in Early Childhood (Bloomsbury) and she edits the Bloomsbury book series Postdevelopmental Approaches to Childhood. She currently leads the Nuffield-funded project Achieving high quality provision in the baby room of English nurseries.
