Whitney joined the EPI team in November 2017. Prior to this, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at UCL, focusing on the impact of the post-communist transition on population health in Eastern Europe. She also spent a year working on the Stigma Survey UK, a community-led study of the impact of stigma and discrimination on people living with HIV in the UK. 

Whitney completed her undergraduate degree in History and International Relations at the University of Toronto. She graduated with Distinction in MSc Social Epidemiology at UCL in 2015
