Robbie joined EPI in 2023 as he started his PhD in education economics at the Centre for Education Policy and Equalising Opportunities (CEPEO) at UCL.

Robbie’s research is on post-16 policy, with a specific focus on technical and vocational education and disadvantaged students. This includes looking at the impacts of T levels, the social perceptions of technical and vocational education and the efficacy of the government’s resit policy.

Prior to joining EPI, Robbie was studying and working as a researcher in New Zealand. He has worked on and published articles in the areas of environmental economics, well-being education and experimental economics.
