At this year’s Labour Party Conference, the Education Policy Institute has partnered with FEA, CPAG and the EY Foundation to hold a public panel on: ‘Youth Town Hall: Nothing about us without us’
The Government’s missions impact every area of young people’s lives. Getting things right for children and young people matters not only for our future workforce and economy, but also because young people don’t get a second-chance at growing up. From tackling child poverty, supporting young people’s mental health, to creating safer streets and creating job opportunities for the future, there’s a role for all government departments to play in breaking down barriers to opportunity so that all children and young people can thrive regardless of their background.
To achieve these missions and create policies that respond to the needs of children and young people, it is critical that we listen to our youth and involve them in the policy process, from planning to implementation and evaluation. This youth town hall event will bring together young people and politicians for an open conversation on the issues affecting young people today.
Speakers will be announced in due course.
** Note: This event will take place in the conference secure zone. To access the secure zone you will need to obtain a pass directly from the Labour Party.**
