Sam joined EPG in June 2018 from Teach First where he was the executive director responsible for one of the largest teacher training programmes in the UK. Before that he was the senior policy adviser to the UK Secretary of State for Education, and was particularly involved in the development of England’s academy school system, the pupil premium, teacher training reforms and creating a peer-led model for school improvement.
Sam did his BA at Oxford University and has Masters qualifications from Oxford and Birkbeck. He is a governor of Woodside High School in Tottenham and a board member of the Teacher Development Trust.
