Raj Chande

Raj is a Principal Advisor on the Education and Skills team and a maths teacher at a secondary school in East London. Raj joined the team in 2012 and has worked on projects targeting higher education participation, attainment in further education colleges, teacher recruitment, teacher workload, and attainment in secondary schools. Prior to joining the team, Raj worked in finance as an equities trader for nine years, resigning in 2010 to take an MSc in Economics and Public Policy at University of Bristol. Raj went on to complete his PhD in Economics at University of Bristol, where his thesis comprised a series of RCTs testing parent engagement interventions in schools, designed in collaboration with Harvard Kennedy School.
