Jens joined the Education Policy Institute in February 2020.

Prior to joining EPI, Jens worked as an Economist at the National Foundation for Educational Research, where he worked primarily on social mobility and the teacher labour market. He led the analysis of social segregation in the top performing comprehensives in Wales and Scotland, teachers’ working hours and working conditions in England for the Department for Education’s Teacher Workload Survey and how teacher autonomy relates to teachers’ job satisfaction and retention.

Jens holds a BSc in Economics from the University of York and an MSc in Economics from University College London.
