Dr Leslie Gutman is Professor of Applied Developmental and Health Psychology in the Department of Clinical, Health and Educational Psychology and Programme Director of the MSc Behaviour Change at University College London. She is also a core team member of the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change, an Associate of the Early Intervention Foundation, as well as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Adolescence. Her research focuses on developmental trajectories in childhood and adolescence, risk and resilience, mental health and wellbeing, aspirations and attainment and the development, implementation and evaluation of school-based interventions. She has led research projects commissioned from the Department for Education, Educational Endowment Foundation and Cabinet Office and conducted evaluations of school-based interventions and after-school programmes. She is currently leading the development and evaluation of a school-based project, KS2 Connect, in collaboration with UCL Access and Widening Participation and UCL Institute of Education.
