On Wednesday 21 June 2017 (10:00 BST) the OECD published ‘Starting Strong 2017’, the first international report comparing early childhood education and care (ECEC).
The report presents an overview of ECEC systems and provision, as well as trend data and information on recent reforms in OECD countries. Issues covered include access and governance, equity, financing, curriculum, the teaching workforce and parent engagement.
The Education Policy Institute (EPI) held a press briefing in London, on Tuesday 20th June – featuring a presentation on the report’s findings from Andreas Schleicher, OECD Director for Education and Skills.
