On Tuesday 11th September the Education Policy Institute will host the launch of the OECD’s annual Education at a Glance report.
Education at a Glance is the leading international compendium of comparable national statistics measuring the state of education worldwide.
The 2018 report examines how equity in education translates into the labour market, analysing the impact of socio-economic status, gender, regional location, and immigrant background. The report also provides an assessment of OECD countries’ progress towards achieving their equity objectives, set as part of the Sustainable Development Goals for Education.
The main findings from the report will be presented by Andreas Schleicher (Director for the Directorate of Education and Skills, OECD) and will be followed by a panel discussion, with expected panelists including: Rt Hon. Justine Greening MP (former Education Minister – invited); Sam Butters (CEO, Fair Education Alliance); Brett Wigdortz OBE (Founder, Teach First and Chair Designate of NCS); and Marc Rowland (education Author). A Q&A session, which will be chaired by Natalie Perera, Executive Director & Head of Research at EPI, will conclude the event.
