On the 21st March the Education Policy Institute will hold a conference on higher education funding.
EPI will present analysis which considers the trade-offs of the alternative options available and their impact on higher and tertiary education. The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) will also present their analysis on graduate earnings, while researchers from the OECD will provide an international perspective on the funding of higher education.
This will be followed by a panel discussion, chaired by EPI’s Executive Chairman, Rt Hon. David Laws.
Speakers include Philip Augar, Chair of the Government’s new post-18 education and funding review panel, and Rt Hon. Lord David Willetts, former Minister for Universities and Science.
Panelists include Professor Chris Husbands, Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University; Dame Minouche Shafik, Director, London School of Economics; and Professor Andy Green, Professor of Comparative Social Science, UCL Institute of Education.
