EPI’s Annual Lecture 2019 delivered by Professor Kirabo Jackson – ‘Education for Long-Run Success’

20th November 2019 20/11/2019 18:00-20:30

This year we are pleased to announce that our annual lecture speaker will be Professor Kirabo Jackson from Northwestern University School of Education & Social Policy in Chicago, USA.

The lecture, titled ‘Education for Long-Run-Success’, will bring together some of Professor Jackson’s most insightful and influential research to date, on teachers and education funding by phase, in order to address: ‘How can we create good schools supplied by high quality teachers?’. The lecture will also feature some of his previous and upcoming research on how teachers and schools contribute to pupils’ soft skills and labour market outcomes.

The lecture will be introduced by EPI’s Executive Chair, David Laws. Following the lecture, there will be a question and answer session with Professor Jackson chaired by EPI’s Executive Director, Natalie Perera. After the question and answer session has concluded, guests will be invited to stay for a drinks reception to network and discuss the research presented.

Please contact info@epi.org.uk to apply for a place, stating your name and organisation.
